I love acting & I love to see other people love acting.

I’ve been in the profession since my teens, performing in regional and New York theater and on film and television. I studied theater at The Interlochen Arts Academy, with various teachers in New York including Michael Howard and Seth Barrish, and graduated from the MFA Program at American Conservatory Theater.

As a teacher I specialize in helping students create work that showcases their acting strengths and interests. I’ve taught workshops and classes at The Field, The Guthrie Theater’s MAX Conference, The George Street Playhouse, The Lee Strasberg Institute and in schools throughout Los Angeles, including The Music Academy at Hamilton High School and St. Margaret’s Episcopal School.

Private Coaching

I also coach actors privately. Coaching areas I focus on include transitioning to LA (including how to make the most out of the regional market you’re currently working in), time management, and prioritizing projects for your biggest personal and professional gain.

50-minute coaching sessions are $75

The WorkSmart Salon

The WorkSmart Salon, a weekly meeting group for actors and other creatives who are working on self-generated projects, begins Wednesday, October 5th and meets weekly from 7-9pm. Sessions start with a group productivity exercise and then each member shares work and/or work issues from the week regarding their project. Each group has its own social network to share support and ideas over the week. The group is limited to 8 members and will meet in a West Hollywood location TBD.

The WorkSmart Salon is $100/month with a 2-month initial commitment.

**Register by September 15 for a 20% discount.

Email clairewinters (at) gmail (dot) com with Salon in the subject heading to apply for the Salon, and include a brief description of your project(s).

Because "smart actor" is not an oxymoron. Sarah Sido and I started Brains of Minerva in 2009 and it's grown into wonderful online resource for LA's professional acting community. We were recently profiled in Backstage magazine.
